Does anyone remember the days when you could visit Woolworths, and (if I recall rightly)at the back right hand side there was a tea bar where you could sit on a stool and have a cuppa?

I went through the Beckenham History site to see if there was a picture of Woolworths in Penge High Street; couldn't find one but not sure that one might have been there and I missed it.??
Reason is that I downloaded a picture of the store some few years ago, but only have a printed copy which I wonder whether it would be worth scanning. My original file is now obsolete/unable to open because it was in the days when you could wander up and down streets on line and the only reference I found recently available was when the pound shop took over.

I remember the quaint, wooden floorboards underfoot in Woolworths on the High Street in Penge. Odd, the things that stay with you over the years. Wasn't it next to a sweetie shop? I distinctly remember exiting Woolworths and diving into a sweetie shop, where I made a beeline for those gloriously golden, triangular mint humbugs. There was a stationery shop in the vicinity, too - WH Smith? Or an independent one? I browsed and shopped there for what seemed like hours before the start of each autumn term.
