There was one sweet shop just under the railway bridge past Abbotts Way, I think the owners moved to Australia. The house is still there today. All Marian Vian kids went in there.
There was also one opposite Goddard Road or was that a cafe?
There was one on the corner of Monks Way at Eden Park, it is now a tyre shop.

I remember both sweet shops, the one under the bridge lot of kids stole sweets from, the shop was creepy.

There was a really old sweet shop on the corner of Eden Park Ave and upper Elmers End Rd that was dark and dingy and really smelt of cats or it could have the old smelly women that owned it!!
Seem to remember you could buy packs of five Park Drive f*gs there...

The sweet shop by the bridge I think was called Scott's.There was a sweet shop/ grocers opposite Raymond road called Champions.
