Hello everyone
my name is Robert Bath. I am tracing the history of my 1979 Triumph Dolomite 1300. In the history it states the car was first registered by "The bromley motor works (Kent) Ltd 1 Wickham road beckenham, kent.
after doing a little bit of research into this. I strongly suspect the name bromley motor works ltd was the main name of the company that was buying and selling the cars (behind the scene name so to speak).
My car was first registered on the 30/1/1979 by the bromley motor works ltd kent with the address above. But in my research it appears the garage at that address was called "langley park garage". I have made contact with the Kia/Peugeot dealership there now,to be told it was once a "rover" dealership, but they couldn't say when etc.
Does anyone have any information regarding the bromley motor works or langley garage if they ever sold triumph cars (if anyone has any photographs when they were selling triumph and or rover cars of around the 60's-70's this would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Rob

If you go to the photos on the site and then select Langley from the left hand drop-down menue then go to image 7 you will find a photo www.beckenhamhistory.co.uk/flashNifties/gallery1.htmlThe garage is still there today if you look on Google Street maps you will see it. I remember the garage selling Rovers. It was taken over by the Masters group many years ago, Ron Stoneham was the owner then, it is now run by one of his sons.
