Hello all, first post so here goes! I'd hoped to be able to find the info myself, but not being local (anymore) makes it kind of tricky... I wondered if anyone would be able to help pinpoint the location of the OXO Sports Ground, famous for an unexpected visitor interrupting play in the late 1950s (a very senior RAF Officer in a Spitfire). Various sources on the web have pointed to it being in Beckenham, Bromley or Ravensbourne; the Ravensbourne suggestion maybe putting it up near the Midland/HSBC sports ground and the other company sports clubs. The only other clue is that The Times sports club was opposite... Does anyone know where it was, and whether it still exists under a new name or different form? Many thanks. EG

Another answer has appeared on another forum confirming its exact location - Calmont Road, Ravensbourne, just east of Beckenham Place park and the railway line. It appears it is now the Millwall FC training ground. I presume, looking at the houses, The Times sports ground was the adjacent one to the north. Thanks for the reply Historian.
